Returns Policy

Brooks Brothers wants you to be satisfied with your merchandise. We will gladly accept a return or exchange of saleable merchandise in original condition within 14 days of delivery date accompanied by an original receipt, per our return conditions stipulate below. Kindly note that we do not offer refunds for the change of mind return of Sale items. All returns accompanied by original receipt & in original condition (per below) will be processed accordingly. All returned items must have the original price tags in place. Brooks Brothers reserves the right to not accept a return if the conditions are not met.

Items may be returned or exchanged at a Brooks Brothers store in Australia within 14 days of delivery (excludes Outlet stores and David Jones stores). Proof of purchase will be required.

Due to health regulations earrings cannot be returned or refunded. Please choose carefully when making your purchase. All shoes should be tried on a carpeted surface only before wear. Shoe box and other packaging must accompany the product on return. Underwear must be returned unworn and unwashed, with all packaging and tags still attached. Brooks Brothers reserves the right not to accept intimate items that have been worn for health reasons.

Monogrammed and altered merchandise and special order clothing will not be accepted for a return or exchange.

Returns Policy for Online Purchases#

Shopping at Brooks Brothers.com.au is easy and risk free with all full price items ordered able to be returned FREE of charge, within our 14 day change of mind period.

Our online store accepts returns for a refund of full price merchandise only. To return your eligible item/s to our online store please email cservice@brooksbrothers.com.au or call Toll Free 1800 770 902 with your order details to be issued with a return approval number.

Kindly note that we do not offer refunds for the change of mind return of Sale items. If you wish to return Sale merchandise you will need to visit a free-standing Brooks Brothers store where you may return for an exchange or store-credit. Please note that store-credits can only be redeemed at free-standing Brooks Brothers stores and cannot be used online or at David Jones.

Return for Change of Mind#

Conditions of Return

Brooks Brothers Australia will gladly exchange or refund in accordance with the following conditions:

  1. Brooks Brothers Australia will exchange or refund (full price items only) returned within 14 days of purchase. 
  2. We do not provide refunds for change of mind returns on sale items purchased, we will gladly exchange/store-credit only. Our online store does not accept returns for sale items. You must visit a free standing store to redeem an exchange or store credit. We do not guarantee the availability of sizes or styles at our free standing stores therefore if the size or style is not available you will be granted a store credit.
  3. You must provide ‘proof of purchase’, being either a tax invoice, bank or credit card statement.
  4. Refunds can only be credited back to the credit card/paypal used to make the original purchase for full-priced merchandise. The refund will be processed as soon as the items have been received and inspected by Brooks Brothers Australia, however, please allow 30 days from the day you return the item for your account to be credited. The amount refunded will cover the value of the item (s) purchased, however shipping charges are NOT refundable.
  5. Items must be in new condition and unworn to be accepted as a return. Product tags must be attached or accompany the product on return.
  6. Due to health regulations earrings cannot be returned or refunded. Please choose carefully when making your purchase.
  7. All shoes should be tried on a carpeted surface only before wear. Shoe box and other packaging must accompany the product on return.
  8. All apparel including knitwear must be returned unworn and unwashed, with all packaging and tags still attached.
  9. Underwear must be returned unworn and unwashed, with all packaging and tags still attached. This includes sleepwear, undergarments and swimwear. For hygiene reasons, please ensure that all briefs/thongs are tried on over your own underwear. Items for return should be kept in a smoke-free environment as returns will be refused on items that are returned smelling of tobacco smoke. Brooks Brothers Australia reserves the right not to accept intimate items that have been worn for health reasons.

Full-Price Merchandise Refunds:

The full amount will be credited to the original tender (credit card/paypal) if returned within 14 days of the ship date on your tax invoice. Please allow up to 30 days from the day you return the item for your account to be credited.

Sale-Price Merchandise Returns:

The full amount of the sale price will be credited in the form of a store credit/exchange for the value paid if returned within 14 days in accordance with the return policy. We do not provide refunds for change of mind returns on sale items purchased, we will gladly exchange/store-credit only. After 14 days, change of mind returns of sale product are not eligible for exchange or credit.

How to Return:

1. Return of an online purchase by Mail

Our online store accepts returns for a refund (full price items only), or exchange for a different size or colour full price items only. Our online store does not offer change of mind exchanges for leather goods, belts, accessories, jewellery, sunglassess or product care. If you would like to return your item/s to our online store please reply to your confirmation email or forward your tax invoice to CService@BrooksBrothers.com.au.

For change of mind returns for full price items, our customer service team will respond to you within 24 hours and provide you with a return authority number and reply paid address to return the item/s free of charge.

You have 14 days from the date of receipt to return the goods. Brooks Brothers Australia cannot guarantee availability of exchanged sizes after this period. You may exchange for other item/s at any of our free standing Brooks Brothers Australia boutiques and stores with your tax invoice.

2. Return of an online purchase to a Brooks Brothers Australia Boutique

You have 14 days from the date of receipt to return unwanted goods in accordance with the guidelines of our Return Policy. You must have your original tax invoice with you in order for the store to process your return and credit you accordingly. Please use the Store Locator at brooksbrothers.com.au or contact Customer Service to find your nearest store. Returns for online purchases cannot be made at David Jones Department stores or Factory store locations. Items must be in new condition and unworn to be accepted as a return in our stores.

3. Returning a Gift

Gift recipients who return an item must be within 14 days of purchase and provide ‘proof of purchase’ being either a tax invoice or a credit card/bank statement.

4. Returning an International Delivery

Our online store accepts returns for a refund (full price items only) in accordance with our Return policy. If you would like to return your item/s to our online store please reply to your confirmation email or forward your tax invoice to Customer Service.

Our customer service team will respond to you within 1-2 business days and provide you with a return authority number and details to return the item free of charge through your local DHL office.

Damage and/or defects caused by personal wear and tear, accidents, treatment which is inconsistent with Brooks Brothers Australia care instructions, dismantling or repair by persons other than recommended repair centres are not covered under the terms of the warranty outlined below.
